About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled machine operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in the steel fabrication process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production. Below is a list of minimal responsibilities for this role:
- Operate machinery, such as CNC plasma cutters, shears, press brakes, and punch presses, to fabricate steel components according to project specifications.

- Set up and adjust machine settings, including speed, feed, and cutting parameters, to achieve desired results.

- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.

- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, downtime, and any quality issues encountered.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a machine operator, with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in metal fabrication or a related field.

  • Proficiency in operating a variety of machinery commonly used in steel fabrication, such as CNC plasma cutters, shears, press brakes, and punch presses.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve machine issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.

  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus.
