Equipment Support Structures
Drawing-defined stands that place substation equipment at its required elevation, orientation, and clearances.
A Mount for Every Device
Equipment supports carry the electrical apparatus installed throughout a substation and are sized by the project engineer for the specified equipment, operating forces, environmental loads, and clearances. Typical applications include circuit breakers, current transformers (CTs), potential or voltage transformers (PTs/VTs), coupling capacitor voltage transformers (CCVTs), surge arresters, switches, and control cabinets.
SteelCon fabricates single-column, multi-column, frame, or platform-style supports to approved structural and vendor drawings. Equipment bolt patterns, mounting elevations, grounding attachments, base plates, and anchorage are coordinated and the finished stands can be match-marked by equipment or structure tag for delivery.
Typical Components
