Transformer Support Structures
Project-specific access and auxiliary support steel coordinated with transformer vendor information and site requirements.
Steel Around the Transformer
Transformer-related structural steel supports the access and auxiliary assemblies around a power transformer rather than the transformer tank itself unless the project drawings say otherwise. Common applications include radiator or conservator access, bushing and conductor-riser supports, firewall framing, platforms, stairs, ladders, and guardrails.
Because transformer arrangements vary by manufacturer, this steel is coordinated to approved vendor information, civil interfaces, electrical clearances, and the project structural drawings. SteelCon fabricates and identifies the specified members, checks critical mounting geometry, applies the required finish, and packages related access and support assemblies together.
